Why does the equipment pictured on the handout not match my equipment?

The Pioneer DDJ-400 unit was once the entry level controller available from Pioneer, however it has since been discontinued so it may be challenging or no longer possible to acquire this specific model.

The DDJ-FLX4 is the current entry level controller and is essentially the same piece of equipment with some helpful improvements.

Please note that all lesson footage was filmed using the DDJ-400, but all the features and tools can still be found on the FLX4 and more importantly, our 6 step system was designed to teach you the foundational mixing skills that are applicable to every type of standard DJ equipment you are likely to encounter.
